Hello, I am posting this for my uncle who has been having trouble with his 1070. I want to apologize in advance since I don't know all the details about the problem myself, but maybe its common enough that some of the experts here can give their advice. Here is what my uncle told me.
When the tractor is cold the clutch pedal doesn't kick the powershift down like it is supposed to. He said then it broke the powershift cable -- now I don't know if pushing the pedal broke the cable or if it just happened over time. He's got a new PS cable, but wants to know if there is something else that caused the previous cable to break that we need to fix beforehand. In other words, if he just puts the new cable on how liable is it to break premature?
Thank you very much. I haven't posted much on here before but my Dad did. He passed on late last year pretty suddenly -- I'm still trying to cope, but he talked about several of the folks on YT like he had known them his whole life and he always liked to follow progress on a good restoration project posted on the site.
