Toy Case SC

Got a new toy in the mail today, but I know nothing about it. Case SC in die cast, 1/16th scale with rubber Firestone tires. Had to have it since I don't have a toy SC. Cast into the side is MIAPA 93, 1 of 25. I'm guessing it is a show tractor from the Mid Iowa Antique Power Association, but I'm not sure. Anyone know anything about it.

That model is a sandcast reproduction of the plastic SC's made in the 50's. It was by either Pioneer Collectables in Minnesota or by Pioneer Implement in Illinois. The guys that made them were related and and both built them around that time. The original forms for sandcasting them was made by Chuck Burkholder around 1980. I do not know when they were sold to Pioneer Collectables. About 10 years ago at that gentlemans estate auction I was able to purchase the forms and several unassembled castings.

That is the most complete and only answer I've gotten. Thank you for that. I've put the same question on a couple of groups on FB and got nothing. Are they common? This is the first I've seen one. I gave $70 for it, hopefully that wasn't bad. Any thoughts on the MIAPA 93?

I would not call them common. I have several of them and have seen many others but you don't find them that often. I would say that $70 was a fair price. I have seen a few cheaper but usually at an auction it will take closer to a $100 bill to get one. As far as the MIAPA 93 goes I can not offer much help. I know they made these for many shows at that time. One of mine has LRPTA in Dalton MN in September of 1992 on the fenders and is serial numbered. I have seen a few others with different inscriptions as well. I am glad I could help. Pioneer Implement also offered a version with a adjustable wide front. One of them was the first custom farm toy I ever bought. That was in 1996 and if I remember correctly it cost about $85 at that time.
