Case 930 Wheatland

Good day. I'm new to the site and am making the rounds on sections getting a feel for things.

I've acquired a Case 930 Wheatland w/o a PTO from my dad. I LOVE the tractor. The sound of it is second to none. I'm sure I could pull almost anything with it, but what I mostly need it for is shredding. The only shredder I'll have access to used a PTO.

I've done some searching but haven't seen it done. Can you add a PTO to these tractors? If anyone has done this, what kind of cost and man hours are we looking at?

Your best and cheapest option would be to find a donor tractor with a PTO. It will be a lot of work weather you swap rear ends or swap the guts out.
You would most likely be better off finding a different tractor to run your shreader

Yea, that's kinda what I figured. More work than it's worth since I have another optional tractor. Thanks for the advice though.
And I agree, never too many Case tractors, HA!!

Does your tractor have hydraulics? If it does, then you already have the pto drive components inside the transmission casting. Take the round 4 bolt cover off and look inside. It's not very hard to install a pto if the drive drum is in there. You will need a donor tractor or at least the rear end housing to get what you need off of, but it's easier than you think. Now if you don't have the hydraulic pump, it's rather intensive to convert. One other thing, make sure you have the raised hitch for the drawbar to raise the pto shaft up to specs, otherwise it's too steep an angle to survive. BT

Nice, it actually DOES have hydraulics. I'll look more into it once I get home. Thanks for the help!
