Could I get some help identifying these plows? Did case ever offer a tandem hitch? Approximate year of manufacture? Thanks, Mike

The plows could either be CH or GR series. Case did make squadron hitches, but the one in your pic. is different than in the Case lit. Waldon made a lot of squadron hitches for drills, packers, disc harrows, and plows The Waldon hitches would have been painted a greenish/cream color similar to Great Bend loaders.

They appear light enough for a G series, but my parts books/manuals etc for the GR/GT show a different plow. Right away, the 2 4 bottom GT plows I have, and the lit, to go with, do not show those three counterbalance springs that lay horizontally to assist the hydraulics........ I'm not sure about other plow models. My parts book is dated Feb of '63, the instruction book Feb of '64 and the sales lit Feb of '63

After much closer inspection of the pics, I have come to the conclusion that they are model AH plows. Poobably AH56 which weighs 2418# The reason I say this is (1) the beams are not rectangular bars, they are I beam style. (2) the tie beam across the front of the plow beams was common only to the model A plow. CH and GR had a U shaped piece of flat stock between them, and no tie beam on top. (3)there is some green paint showing through on the axles and other places. The plow and squadron hitch was repainted.

Thanks for your research, much appreciated. I like finding books that go with my equipment to learn more but I was finding contrasting info when I tried looking it up. Looking at the brochure you posted I wonder if mine might have started out as trip plows as the hydraulic cylinders are mounted differently. Thanks, Mike

I bet that the hyd. cylinder had to be moved on the lead plow because of interference with the squadron hitch.
The cylinder looks correctly mounted on the tail plow.
