188 Gas Engine, Any Value ?

Have a chance to purchase a couple 600 combines that are thrashed bad. Very little left in good parts, but engines are complete and one is stuck. I was wondering if there is much call for these engines or there parts. Don't know if these machines are worth messing with or if I should walk away. Rod.

Rod Yes they have value parts are getting hard to find for them well worth having at least one machine around for yours to use as parts

Rod, where are yo located? I have a 630 with a gas 188. For the right price a spare may be good to have as a parts engine. I forget where you are located.

Rod, drop me an email with your phone or email address and we will discuss prices and shipping costs of an engine. How may hours on these engines, do they run, use oil, have good block, etc? My 630 block has hairline freeze cracks sealed with JB weld and hold pressure but a good block would be nice and I do need to replace mains and probably turn crank so while I have it apart Changing the block out is not a whole lot more in an engine restoration.
