The original subject was "CASE G430".

I hate to dig up an old thread, no pun intended, I just got a g430 and wanted to know what the 2 control knobs were on either side of the transmission.

Any any all help will be greatly appreciated!

If you're referring to a lever with a knob on each side of the transmission (actually torque tube section forward of the 4 speed tranny). You need a better pic to be sure exactly what you have but judging from the height of the lever on the left it appears to be a shuttle. Check the shift pattern on 4 speed tranny, if there is no reverse position it is a shuttle.

Shuttle: left lever is forward/reverse and right lever is low range/direct drive. Along with the 4 speed tranny that provides 8 speeds forward and 8 speeds in reverse. Reverse speed in any gear is 25% faster than the same forward gear. Shuttle is great for loader work, push in slow/back out fast using the forward/reverse lever only.

Thank you! That is very helpful information! Just got the tractor running and working on tires/air cleaner.... Thanks again!

This helped me back the tractor next to the shop

P.S. I am sure I will be back very soon to pick your brain again!
