2590 workout - what to watch for

I plan to pull this new to me 4 shank deep ripper with my 2590. I can weight it down by adding water to a 300 gallon front mount tank as needed. What should I check before heading to the field or once it's working hard? I have only used it on light jobs like planting mowing and field cultivator. Tractor has 60xx hrs and previous owner had all rear end and tranny updates done years ago.

Looks good Dave, I pull a mounted 5 shank ripper with the 1370 and find a little extra weight on the front does aid in turning on the ends. Just keep working speed at 5
mph or better. I find it nessesary to caring some of the rippers weight on the tractor and not all on the gauge wheels to aid in traction. Rod.

Does your 1370 have fluid in the rear tires?

I have decent tread but no extra ballast. I'm hoping I get some weight transfer being it's a mounted tool.

Thanks
