I bought this 1967 Case 530CK tractor back-hoe. It has a Torque Converter lever on the right side and the forward and reverse lever on the left. My question is: how do I use this converter? I know that forward on the lever is Torque Converter and pull back on the lever is direct drive.
When starting the tractor to move, do I put it Torque position or Direct, or when pulling hard loading the front bucket, should I have it in torque or direct? I know I'll get the right information from you Case guys. Thanks in advance!

It should always start out in COM as when you step on the clutch pedal it it is supposed to shift it to COM, I have seen a few some one fixed so you could start out in either,, always start in COM, it can put shock loads on axles gears ect by starting in direct drive
