Anyone know what exactly a case 730 and 830 highcrops where used for in the suagr cane fields and such? Did they have cultivators or hillers on them? I have honestly never seen a piece of equipment with them. Not sure if they just pulled wagons or what. Any information will help my out thanks.

I can only comment on DCS hi crops. I have never seen one with a traditional hitch. My DCS was equipped with a special transmission that had 3 gears in reverse and 1 forward so it was designed to be operated backward with a boom attachment for loading sugar cane. There were remnants of the cane loader still on it when I bought it. I have never seen any factory literature regarding hi-crops and how they were used. Thanks for posting this question as I am curious as well. Don

I know a guy whom has a 400 HighCrop and it still had the side loader on it the last time I saw it.

A few years back, I saw a cane loader attached to 560 Farmall on display at the IH museum at the Florida Flywheelers show. I have never seen on on a Case, but assume that the manufacturer built them for all major brands. The machine mounted on back required reverse operation similar to a forklift or backhoe. Imagine alight weight modified backhoe mounted high with a cable pulley at the end with 4 tine grapple (think of loose hay grapple). Operator approached a stack of harvested cane stalks, dropped the grapple gathered and lifted a pile up and then swung sideways over the tall sides of truck. Hope somebody will chime in with corrected info.

Right now we use the high crops to pull tall fetilizer spreaders and sprayers. I'm in south florida. Got 2,000 acres on our 26,000 acre farm. I know the the 560 decribed. I mounted tires on it and brought a load of cane for it to demo loading
