Case 70 and 94 series tractors

Hello,
I have heard many different answers to this so I thought I would ask the case people here. On a 70 through 94 series tractor can you run something like a snow blower in reverse with a powershift model and not have damage? I know sitting still doing it is a no no, but I hear mixed reviews about using something like a snow blower too. Thanks

I always wondered what it is that does not receive enough lubrication when stationary and in reverse. With C4 locked, is it the planet gears and their bearings whizzing around the inside of the drum not receiving enough splash to be properly oiled? I've searched around here quite a bit, and there is much discussion on this as far as the do's and don'ts, but have never found a definitive answer to what exactly is starved for oil in that situation. Does the PTO even play in to it, or would it be just as bad if the machine sat in reverse running at high idle all day without the PTO? Just curious.
THANKS!!
