Bought this nice Case light yesterday. Nice little lighted sign About 6" high and 12" wide. Anyone know anything about it? Any chance it could be an original dealer piece? There is so many repo's of everything, I'm not even going to pretend I know how to tell them apart.

It's a nice piece but just something somebody dreamed up. Case Corp never licensed for the dealers or anyone else something with both Old Abe AND the new corporate Tenneco logo on the same item. They have been trying to bury Old Abe since 1970. I don't know where this stuff is coming from but somebody is making all kinds of lighted Case signs with Case tractors, Case parts, Case garden tractors, different logos etc. I bought one just for giggles to light up the garage but it's brand new construction. There's also a rash of tin signs hitting the market that are poorly done reproductions of the originals including the old flange signs. Very poorly done graphics, colors and script but thats alright with me. Makes it easier to tell the real thing from the cheap repop stuff. There's also a Case neon Eagle being produced right now that's actually pretty cool and nicely done but again, new construction that has a retro look.

I don't think I could afford any of the real stuff. Son bought me a tin depicting a Case 500. Of course it is a reproduction. There was a lot of talk about Case not allowing the use of Old Abe and other copyrighted stuff reproduced. So is this stuff all coming from China or home computer entrepreneurs? gobble
