I have an opportunity to buy a 1949 DC-3 with a single front wheel. I know this thing is rare, but does anyone know how rare? Anyone know how many DC-3's with this configuration were made? Thanks.

I have one. Check to see if it has extra long rear axles too. To find out how many were made, someone would have to go through all the build card at the Case archives.

I have one set up that way also. I think it depends upon location as to being rare. Central Washington and southern Idaho irrigated potato country the single fronts must have been very common as I have or know of single tire fronts on nearly all old tractor manufactures out here.

Tom I found the build specs for the ah ah controversial D with eagle hitch. Send your address as I did not keep all the addresses on my ah exit from the west. Hope you are doing good. Sure would be great If you were able to get out to Indiana. Should you go be air would be happy to pick up you and arrange care for your kidney situation.
