Looking at a 1570, I'm not familiar with them, was
wondering what to look close at when I get to look
at it. I do know it is a power shift, and the guy says it
shifts good with no slack in the shifter. The trans I
guess is my biggest worry, I know they can get
expensive to work on.

For the most part 1570's are darn good tractors. But lets keep in mind they are 40 years old. If you are unfamiliar with a CASE that is OK. Check the common things, fluids , leaks, any kind of damage. Drive it and listen and if all seems OK go for it. I bought a tractor that I drove and checked over, had it 6 mo. and rearend failed. I have drove and fixed these tractors for over 40 years and there just are things that occur will no warning signs. It is just the risk we take when buying used tractors. Hope you have good luck with what ever you decide on. Rod.
