One more starter question mEl

The 188 engine in my 430 came out of a 1740 uniloader. The starter has 10T and the gear reduction starter for the 580c-d are all 13T.
Will it still work?

The starters will interchange with no problem mechanically, most installations with stock wiring harnesses have to have the leads lengthened.

A quick check on the parts store site shows using the same 135 tooth G11710 ring gear. the Nippon must have some offset to the mount to allow proper mesh.

Nice update! Any thing over minor repairs to the original and the Nippon will be cheaper and Vastly superior. Go for it!
