Case 1570 powershift question

I have a Case 1570 C3 clutch hub #A75117. It is supposed to have 3/8" bolt holes but they are 7/16" instead. In my online parts book it says
" Original bolt was 3/8". Some dealers drilled for 7/16" bolt (not Case recommended). Find outside source for bolts." Was this common? What else had to be changed? where did the bolts come from? Thanks!

When I needed them, I ordered them from Grainger. The proper name for that style of bolt is a "ferry head cap screw".

They were a bout $1 each, and you had to buy a bag of 10.

Some shops drilled out those hubs to accept 7/16 bolts quite often. No parts were needed to be changed other than the bolts. I know of no bad affects by installing the larger bolts which did not break as often as the 3/8 did. Most all major fastener carriers should be able to provide the bolts you need. Rod.
