Tractor Binder Points

For those of you who haul tractors on a regular basis, whether it be for work, pulls or shows, what have you added to your tractor for boomer points, especially on narrow fronts? I have seen people add grab hooks and/or clevis' to the frame in various manners but can't for the life of me remember how they did it. Pictures are worth 1000 words!

I use D ring plates on the rear of my VAC and 300. The front of the VAC also has D rings but the 300 just gets a clevis and chain run through the front hitch. Later I will make better front mounts.

My fathers DC and 730 also have the D-ring mounts added.

My father also came up with some nice D-Ring inserts for the front cultivator clamps on the DC/VAC.

I got some square tubeing big enough to get a chain hook thru, weld a 4 inch piece on to a plate, creating a stake pocket, bolt that too the tractor, and you don't have to worry about the chain falling off or out. Paint it and your done.

On my DC3's and CC, I use the mountings for a DC4 front axle; I use a clevis and run my chain through it. I figure if the mounting is strong enough to hold the axle' it is strong enough to tie the beast down.

I like the D Rings; just weld them to a bolt on plate. I'll have to take a better look when I get home tonight as I haven't looked at that particular project on any of the tractors for a while.

What I recall seening in the past were just grab hooks with a single bolt into the side of the frame, or an eye bolt or something. I'm not a real big fan of that but I do like the D Rings on a plate with multiple bolts. I saw this for an A/C this morning on the Google machine and kind of like it as well (build my own of course and save the $80).
A/C Tie Downs

After viewing your link, I guess I ought to start fabing tiedowns for case tractors. The ones you showed for the WD45 were pretty spendy.

Picked up these rings at the local CAT Ag dealer. Bolster on the CC had the bolt holes in it. Picked up Grade 8 bolts and bolted them on. Bolted another pair to the draw bar frame.
