I e-mailed a detailed drawing for the roof I wanted for my tractor to my steel supplier. The roof was delivered today formed perfectly to my specs. I lifted the 2 post frame off the tractor this afternoon and started working on the mounting brackets that will secure it to the frame work. Also in past few days, I formed 18G galvanized angles to trim the rough edges of the grating on the steps so they had a finished look, and added a brace to each of the vertical grab handles. The braces bolt to the fuel tank support plate.
I will cut out front and rear vertical support/filler panels from 12G steel for the roof that will house oval amber flashing lights.
It is nearly done now, just waiting for warmer weather to apply paint and graphics.
I don't think I can roll it outside and paint it in 20sF weather. HeHe.
