For Rod or the other Case mechanics, dad's 2594 is stuck in 4th gear. We pulled the side plate off and the 3-4 shift fork is worn but the shift collar is stuck on 4th gear. We tried to pry it over but it is stuck tight. The resident case mechanic said the older ones would break the thrust washers and they would fall into the middle of the shift collar but could be pryed to neutral and be usable until there was time to fix. He never seen a 94 series do it. Was wondering if you guys have ever heard or seen anything like this and if there is anything else we can try before it goes to town.
We are getting short of tractors this winter, water pump went on the 2094 and none to be had in the case system we were told so had to get one online. Radiator went on the 3294 and was out for a week since there is 1 radiator shop in all of western ND. Down to the 32 on the tmr and loading with the cabless 480e while the 2094 waits for the water pump. Wwn it rains it pours i guess.
The 25 has been a great horse for us and has been used hard for many years but cost very little. Just seems silly to have something like this happen when it's had a pretty easy life for the past 5 or so years. It has about 8000 hrs if that helps at all.
