This is what is called being lucky. I was getting ready to rebuild the carburetor on my Case SC so I ordered a rebuild kit for it. When I got the kit I realized that someone had replaced the carburetor with
an aftermarket one that made the rebuild kit unusable. A couple years before I retired I was talking with one of the maintenance guys at the plant where I sometimes worked and he said he had an old carburetor
laying around and said I might as well have it as he had no need for it. Well, it didn't fit any of my Farmalls, so I just left it laying with other old tractor parts I had. I happened to look at that
carburetor after seeing that the one I had wouldn't work and discovered that is was the correct one for the SC. Now, what are the chances of that happening, probably near zero. The carburetor kit fit perfect
and I now have a nicely rebuilt carburetor. When I looked closely I discovered it even had some Case orange paint on it yet.
