1370 cab removal

Finally cut the cab off of my 1370 today. Hated to ruin a pretty decent cab, but could only find a buyer who wanted the glass and some parts. Also kinda wanted to save the "cab fenders". I have a set of open station western fenders for it, but will probably leave it as is for now. Started with a sawsall, but after about an hour, broke out the plasma cutter, and was done in no time. For those of you that have done this, how did you deal with the holes left from the roll bar part of the cab? Weld a plate over them, or some sort of plug?

When we remove cabs from 70 series we unbolt them from the deck, add on open stage steps and fenders. Drive away.

That works great, when you can find the fenders. I looked for over a year, and finally found a pair of westerns that need some work. Those, and another rough pair of westerns are all I ever found within 200 miles.

Good luck with your project, curious though where do you hail from? We're from Wisconsin. Again good luck, have fun, Dale
