430 starter

Will the gear reduction starter that fits the late model backhoes (still with 188 0r 207) fit my 430 ?
Seems like it should but I'm not sure.

You do not have to ask for anything special, the same starter is used on the 580 C--D and will directly interchange. You may have to lengthen some wiring and tweak the power steering lines if they come in the area of the starter, I have done many. You can't rebuild a Delco for what you can purchase a new gear reduction for and you get twice the cranking power.

Thanks, what threw me was it says that starter also fits for diesel trucks
