Do any of you guys remember back in the late 70's early 80's there was an article in one of the farm magazines about a guy that drove his 1370 from coast to coast? It was an early yellow open station tractor. From what I remember he overhauled the engine in the winter and thought he would break it in on the road. Since the tires were almost shot he thought he could just as well run them bald on the road. Since he was strictly a grain farmer he made the trip in the spring when us livestock guys are busy. He told of some chilly mornings on the road, and of getting the tractor up to 50 MPH + on a few long down hills. Do any of you remember this? Do any of you know who it was? Seems to me it took a short month to make the trip.
