Got a chance to cut out the bracket parts and fit them. Now its time to bevel the joints and grab the welding gear

Looks good all jigged up. Curious as to why the top bracket is off center? ADB

Well, the bracket is off center as it goes around the seat mount, which has the throttle lever mounted on one side of it,this allows it to clear the lever. The casting for the top link bracket will be mounted on the center line.

I wasn't thinking of the throttle lever. I see the rod in the last pic. So the original seat bracket fits between the verticals on your top link bracket. That makes sense.
