SO Steering Column

I need the length of the steering shaft from the collar to the bottom of the steering wheel. The shaft on mine has been replaced with one from a SC and is obviously to long. No problem to cut and weld it back just need to know the length. Thanks for any help you can give. Lee

from top of collar to bottom of wheel 6.75" bottom of collar to top end of shaft 10" on my early 40's SO
