Broke out the 450 on my cousins driveway last week,, I had opened it twice with the 580 and they had been working on it with a 4 wheeler with a plow,, uphill, 3 1/2-4 feet deep where the road was,, so far its staying clear now,, few of the 580 on lot cleaning duty and shots of cleaning around the yard

The most snow I ever remember in this part of the country was about 16". I'm about to turn 69 and That was a one time deal. An old man when I was a kid said in the twenties they had a 22". Hope I never see that here again. We wouldn't have any way of dealing with it. We get a white Christmas 1 out of ten. Most of them would be considered lite. That tells you about our winters.

Winter of 68-9 we had over 100" of snow. Didn't have many snow blowers then. Hired the Hutterites with a D-8 Cat to get the milk truck in and out....E SD.

Yikes that would be rough with the wind,, that was a banner snow year for us as well,, but winter of 77-78 was worse here anyway,, 87" of snow and wind from a different direction about every three days,,, Deep drifts

I remember that well, i was in the national guard, and that spring the James River flooded big time, it turned 60 degrees every day for three days, not even a nite of freezing to slow it down !!

Looks like my place but with less trees. Over 110 inches of snow so far and its only the first week of January and it seems like the wind has been howling off the lake everyday so even when it doesn't snow I have to clean up drifts.

Tom,That snow drifting looks like it could be from a scene in SW MN when we get snow. I sure like that pure white color, our wind blown snow is always grey from the black dirt it picks up as it is blown across the tilled fields. If you find you need help with snow removal give a shout, I will bring the 226 out. Rod.

When all of that snow melts it should replenish the moisture in the ground quite well.

it would have if it had not blown all into drifts,, LOT of Bare in the fields,, But I will take what we can get lol
