runs nice and always starts right up and doesn't burn any oil.Wide adj front with live pto ann remotes.
nice tin also.No dents or rust.Just some surface rust.Got 2ft of snowOther day and got plow truck stuck.Fired up DC and it wouldn't move.Oh my.I never checked the tranny.I tried rocking back and forth and finaly broke loose and could use 1st and rev.Got truck pulled out and put dc in the garage and got furnace going.
took 2days to thaw out.Got ten gallons out of it.I couldn't find level plug anywhere.I did open both draine plugs and used 2 separate 5 gal buckets.Where is the oil level plug? Pics to follow shortly Am over due. Hoss in snowey

Hoss,

Now you know why we brag up our DC's so much. They are really a great old tractor. You will find the transmission level check plug directly in front of the hydraulic filter housing (the round metal housing with the hydraulic line piped into it). The tranny capacity is 10 1/2 gallons. Enjoy your DC! Don

hope you did not get 10 gallon of water out of that tranny!!!?.. but it probably wont hurt the ol gent,.. my adjwf DC that came from mi had near;ly 5 gallon of water in the tranny , nik wink has a special inexpensive knack to boot and keep water out ,and john saelie seels the new boots for less than 10bux,, I think , that's cheap enuf . you mite add a bottle of red heet to pull the water droplets off the interior castings and gears .. it will intermix with oil well enuf ... there is a 1/4 pipe plug under the floor board, that is usually covered in grime,.keep the level full ,.. if not the front pto bearing will suffer,. like my sc did ,.. dirt cheap ? .. yes,/// the DC Case is the best kept secret in the flambeau line ,. I often wonder when you hear a guy that reealy don't know CASE from Alice running them down that they mite be confusing the DC with the SC,.. both tractors are reliable and dependable , but the DC is the powerful efficient TANK of the Case Letter series lineup..though wide fronts are much desired ....a tricycle front you will find is most nimble to back wagons around ,. rite now one of my DCs is missing one front tire , the cast iron wheel works perfect for rolling loads of beans in the barn in my situation , steers easier too ,. the ihc and green boys used to laf at the chiken roost sterring arm ,.. but by golly at least you could maneuver and steer a CASE tractor easily
