Put the Haban Mower on the 224

After purchasing this sickle mower I found out it is a model made for a Jacobsen GT. It was not to bad of a job to fab up some mounts to make it work on a CASE. Now I need to fab up some links to make it raise with the hyd lift. This mower was meant to be manually raised. Rod.

Looks good to me Rod, and it will be handy to have for those little jobs in those hard to get places. Wish I had one. I remember Case did have one available
 
Dan I have been looking for years to find one, had to drive over 400 mi to pick this up. Watch next week one will turn up in the neighborhood, LOL. Rod.
 
Looks good! If the lawn gets away you can zip it off with that. Have a Haban flail chopper that goes on my 155 Case mower....should try to mount it and see hoe it would work.

My brother and I were pretty darn good at mowing under fences (if the bottom wire was high enough) with the VAC and #5 JD mower. We always thought the VAC was a pretty remarkable tractor.
 
I may not be in your neighborhood but I have a sicklebar mower that came with a 446.
It's missing the knife ! Anyone know what would work ? even to cut it shorter !
 
That old JD #5 was a good mower, Dad bought one in 1954, he bought a JD because, according to him, it had to be a good mower to stand up to that thumping of being powered by a two cylinder JD, lol.
