Boy! You guys ask some tough questions, rockshaft, hydraulic pump! Do I need all that stuff? Yes I guess I do, the posted pictures will answer some of the questions. Keep in mind this is just my "mock-up" before I start to cut metal again. The vertical plywood plate will be made out of 3/4" plate steel, and next I am going to mock-up a horizontal triangular plate that will be bolted between the seat mount and the top of the transmission, and welded to the back of the vertical plate

I am sure that peice of plywood is a mock up, but I doubt that even a peice of 1/2" plate will hold up, and The few bolts you have holding the plate are inadequate. You better go back and rethink and figure out the geomerty. It is not correct either and there is no place for the top link. Not trying to blow you out of the water, but you need to put much further thought into the structural dynamics of your design. It probably will pull a snowmobile trailer, but it won't support a 2B plow or a mtd disc harrow.

Hang on now, if you read my comments, you would have noticed that all the plate is 3/4" thick, and there is another plate yet to come which will brace the first plate and supply more bolts. Yes the geometry works, I've run a computer analysis (I have an engineering degree) and I have yet to get too the top-link in the mock-up. I don't plan on pulling a plow, or a snow mobile trailer. Look at the pictures, almost Jan. and there is no snow (we don't get much in southwest Florida!

What is the bracket bolted over what looks to be the pto? I the photo it appears to be for attaching the third link.
