Drug home a 830 ck xmas day runs great everything works as it should has a couple fuel leaks but where the leaks are the fuel is like glue thought was wierd got looking into it a little found out the man makes his own fuel !! Drained out all this mess now trying to get everything flushed out new filters.I will be in need of a set of front grill screens down the road but for now have to put it to bed as to many other projects at the moment.Now i have a 1030 930 and now this 830 slowly growing the heard.

Sounds good ,how about a picture? So what was the last owner making his fuel from ?

Friend of mine goes around to all the automatic trans repair shops and picks up their used atf. Runs it thru a couple big filters from a semi engine and adds some diesel to it. Better mileage than straight diesel. This is used in a 96 Dodge 1 ton Cummins.

Sounds like he was using soy bean oil. It tends to gel quicker than regular diesel. Ben

Just got off the phone with him he uses old cooking oil and some other additives. Took some to work today to try and figure it out I would not put this junk in my worst enemy's tractor lot of seperation and water.I think i will stay with diesal fuel I've heard and seen to many bad things with home made fuel. But thanks for your input try to ad a couple pictures see what happens.
