Merry Christmas all.... I managed to get my powershift valve back together and installed on my 770, while driving around the yard today, I was running through the powershift gears, periodically it would hesitate going from first to intermediate, maybe a second or two, then take off, go to put in third position, no issues, I would stop the tractor and turn the retard screw for C-2 clockwise, seemed to help a bit, then I would drive the tractor around, down shifting and upshifting, not have any problems going through the power shift gears, then all of a sudden I would have it hesitate from first to second again. seemed like every 7th or 10th time through the gears, I had the momentary hesitation, I had a stuck C-2 valve, is reason for removing and cleaning the powershift valve.. my question, is this related to the retard adjustments? I do not have any way of pressure testing the valves. Open to suggestions...

I agree with the PS cable as being the issue, how ever it may just be that it is not properly adjusted and the lever is being stopped mechanically just before the spool is seated into 2ps. Pull the pin out of the spool end and see if the lever moves freely. If so check the positioning adjustments. (the big nuts on the cable core ends. If the cable moves hard, get a new cable.
