oil for pto

I have a 1965 Case 430 with a independent PTO. My question is how much oil should be in the housing were the clutches are? and if I pull this off to work on it do I have to drain the gear oil out of the rear end?

Honestly I'm not familiar with the "430", and there are many are here, but I would assume there is a check plug

I thought the same thing but can only see the place you pull the plug to adjust the clutches
