Hi all, I am getting ready to re assemble the powershift valve, been busy scraping old gasket off of top of transmission, what is recommended sealer to use? Permatex blue? or ? I found part of reason for hanging up in intermediate on power shift, C-2 was stuck, as Rod thought, C-4 was sticky, C-1 and C-3 were good,
after following Rod's tutorial for re-assembly of rp-34, I discovered someone used the heavy spring for C-4 in the C-2 pilot valve, this may be reason C-2 stuck after sitting a few years. Thanks again for all info. Greg

Just reinstalled my RPS34 valve body on a dry gasket except a few dabs on the outer surface of the area I needed to JB weld. Installed - tightened and left 24 hours for the gasket goo to dry. Absolutely don't want any squeezing out into the oil flow paths internally. Good luck and sounds like successful rebuild! Brian Case farm kid

Nothing for sealer, dry gasket, got it, last person that worked on this tractor used a black sealer, set up hard, having a bugger of a time cleaning old gasket off, I did not think I would want to take a chance on gasket maker getting into the oil passages.. will keep at it till done, Thanks!!
