update on the 970 .. first thanks for the info . did get the cover off without haven to remove the cab.. found broken first gear. . split and after a close look .. found some more gears with chips. .. cab had to come off anyway ... found a few more issues getting to the pinion shaft .. p o. told me 4 gear was out of it when he bought it . .he had that fixed and rebuilt the power shift...... apparently . it must have been used awhile before it was repaired .. grrrrrr .. made some calls looking like probabally gonna go with a new back half . wengers has one but not sure ofthe condition . . couldnt reach Fred Goodrich saturday . will call him monday . hopefully have it back together soon.
