I have located new chain and all new rollers, top and bottom. I have a repair plan for the front idlers so the undercarrage issue will be solved. Not cheap for sure! I have removed all the suport structure and will take it to town and have them sandblasted. other than changing a few seals on the drive box, and a few hydrolic hoses, the rest is in great shape. No water in any of the oils I drained out, so that's good! So the next step is to clean/strip and clean some more. Then the detailing starts. Funny thing, when removing the control tower on this crawler I found the spare keys! Still had the what was left of the key fob on it as well! I was suprised to find that I tell ya!!

I'm into CASE watch fobs. Post a pic of the key fob if you have time & don't mind. Thanks Gerald

I would love to, but it totaly crumbled to dust when I tried to pick it out of the dry dirt it was in. Not sure what it was made of, leather is my guess.... The key must be made from some pretty good metal because it is still intact.

Engine pics from this summer. The rest of the machine will match. Sprockets are not too bad, so I'm not changing them.

FredR,

Oh my, that engine look meticulously assembled. Hope the rest is of that caliber.

Magnificent.

Please continue your progress with postings.

Fred, progress looks great, makes me want to start working on my 800, where are you from? I see the canadian tire mastercraft toolbox in the background,
Ben

Hey casecollectorsc, do you have a 610 Ag model like mine with the counter weight on the nose, or a 600 constructioon model? The two machines are very similar, the Ag model, 610 is fairly hard to find. I'm just curious, I have yet to find somebody with a 610!

Great progress Fred!
Your moving right along.

Where did you find the chain and rollers if you don't mind?

Also be very careful when you remove those brake drums
For inspection or repair..
There impossible to find and break easily.(center breaks out)
Lube the splines up generously with anti-seize when reinstalling.

So that would make it a 600. Basicly the same machine with a few differences, one being the a
large counter weight on the nose of the 610, the 600 didn't have that, and I believe the hydrolic system is slightly different as well. And of course the paint scheme. The 610's were farm colors and the 600 was yellow. Different serial numbers as well..

Chain and rollers were sorced from SMS equipment. Not sure what brand they are from. The bottom rollers I could get from CASE still, but they were $240 a piece!! I will purchase the bottom rollers fromSMS as well, they want $135 (Canadian). Chains are
$995 a side. Top rollers I found from CASE out of Regina Sask. and they were 225 a piece as well, but no aftermarket supplier could match what I had so I was stuck with the price. I have purchased them biut going to waitt untill after X-mass to pull the
trigger on the rollers and rails.
The brake drums came off nice. And yes! I lubed the hell out of them because I figured there was no way I was going to find replacements. They look good, lots of pad left and no ridge in the drums. Just oily. I will replace those seals I guess.

Thanks Fred.
Probably "Berco" on the chains and aftermarket parts.

When you have time could you post part numbers or Email
Them to me?
