Finally removed the power shift valve, Need to be able to stand on your head and add another joint to the arm to get at some of the fixtures under the platform, BUT, did not have to cut the platform up to get it out...C-2 was stuck as Rod suspected in earlier post, other valves were sticky. I saw it was mentioned to get the correct gasket set, If I have my local Case-IH parts gal look up the number from my parts book should get the correct one? How will I know if they get me the wrong one? Anything else I should be doing, long as I have the valve off? Thanks for all of the advice and pointers from everyone, Greg

Good day, there appears to be a couple of versions of the gasket - serial number is the place to start. Here is some help:

You can change the dealer and get at least a start on the assembly and part numbers.
I took the gasket I got first and lined it up with the valve body and it was not lining up with the ports... I knew I needed to return and do some research... hope it goes well. 970 shifted and drove today - no problem!
Good luck. Brian Case farm kid

If you look close at your valve body you will find the part number of it casted on it. Parts person should be able to match the gasket to the valve with that number.
