Good day - a few posts here about making a tach drive puller and the best idea I thought I read was using the base of a sparkplug to create the puller.
1) But there was no information on what sparkplug has a 3/4-20 UNEF (extra fine) thread - tried a search for that thread specification and no luck...
Any help out there...? Which sparkplug do I look for?
2) About to re-install the RPS34 valve body on the tractor (970) and noting how hard it was to get off (I damaged the aluminum to get it loose) - Has anyone used Pam non-stick on a gasket or gasket surface to ease removal of that piece later...? Just thought of it... just checking if I am crazy or has anyone done this to help get off an assembly at a later date... not sure if it will promote leakage or help with future disassembly... the top of the transmission only has ports where oil passes through and a huge surface where the gasket stuck solid for me.
Any comments?
I am tempted to try it if no one has just to pass on the results... in my case if the RPS34 valve body needs tweaking or another clean due to the system contamination (even though oil is changed and filter relief valves now installed) - the tiniest bit of gunk is bad for those spools!...
Let me know if you have any info on plug or comments of getting things apart after in an easier manner. Brian Case farm kid
