2294 c1 and c4 reaction springs failure?

Spoke to an engineer at century spring in MI about making the inner and outer springs just to see if the price difference would be better than CNH, I gave him the the specs as per the case repair Manuel he put it in his computer program and the report was they would fail! I was just wondering if you guys have seen this failure when repairing the power shifts? This guy said he has made springs for years and was very sure of the failure rate.

I have done many many RPS34s from their introduction and can reassure you that c1-c4 spring breakage is not an issue, I usually replace them as part of the repair but cannot recall any being broken even after many thousand hours of use.

I have done a good amount over the years myself not one had a broken spring in that area, I would say with mEl and Rod saying the same that covers a LOT of machines so I am betting either something messed in the data your guys pulled from or a miss calculation some where,,, Case would have long ago changed them had it been a issue

I have had to replace the springs in c2/c3, but never c1/c4.

This is just a suggestion but could he (engineer) have used the wrong type of spring steel in his calculations?
