Case VA - What a difference tire size makes!

Hard to believe that these are basically the same tractor. Conversion from narrow front VAC(1950) to the fixed wide front is nearly complete. Just have to swap the steering gearboxes. Pretty easy to say "turn right to go left", but a lot harder to do it when driving.

The VAI(1947) that I took the wide front from has the engine-driven hydraulic pump and the one-way remote cylinder valve. The torque tube vent is on the top of the torque tube. No place to put the tee with the vent/Eagle hitch drain on the steering gearbox. The VA(1944) on the left appears to be mostly original, but has a hole in the steering gearbox for the vent. Is there any reason to vent the torque tube if there are no hydraulics installed? Hoping to be able to swap gearboxes around without having to remove gears and pitman arms.
