Cracked head

I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with getting a caston head welded. I'm still looking for a solution to the cracked head on my 730ck since these heads seem notorious to crack. It's an a33613 casting. Is it possible to use an earlier casting that says it's for decompression?

I have a 1966 830 CK with no head cracking problems but also a 1967 830 CK which I bought as spares tractor which has two cracked heads.
I have been told if the engine is run without the thermostat they will crack head/s

I have seen them cracked by not allowing them to cool after working before shut down,, that said 730 and 930 use the same heads,, and yes a early head with decompressor will work

Thanks case nutty I will expand my search for a head to early ones too this tractor had a radiator leak and the previous owner seized it only cracked one head luckily and a set of new sleves will fix the bottom end

Where are you located, I have 3 good 930 decompressor
heads, would need valves done. I am in Windsor ontario
