I am trying to access the pickup screen for the hydraulic pump, per the book I am looking at, I have removed the side bolts that hold the drawbar assembly, except for the front on each side, which allowed me to lower it, removed the hydraulic pump, I am thinking I can take my cherry picker and lift on the base of the third arm, and using a pipe placed over the pto shaft, I should be able to remove it, however after loosening all 10 bolts for the pto housing, will not even wiggle, maybe I am missing something? periodic lose of all hydraulics temporarily is reason I am thinking screen may be plugged, before I purchased tractor, had a new hydraulic pump installed, I found out was missing both relief valves in the oil filters as well. any and all suggestions appreciated.

If all the bolts are removed and the pto seems solid, those gaskets sometimes really hold tight and someone may have used extra glue on it also. Get a small and sharp chisel and tap it between the housings, the gasket will break loose after a little work, Rod.

It may just be the gasket holding it. Sometimes they are glued on real well. Just helped my son get one off a 1070. It took a while with a sharp chisel in the crack between the housings to break the sealer loose. Tony

I always use a heavy gasket scraper to break those tough gaskets myself,,, same effect just thinner and easier to get a wedge action, just my choice is all
