Anyone whos having issues with the wet sleeves setting to high I have been mulling over the issue for some time cause I'm to cheep to drive 100 miles and pay a machinist 400$ not saying its not a fair price He wanted to mill the block and the sleeve holes down. This morning out of the blue I thought Id try and use some course lapping compound I spread it around the edge of the hole and was able to fit my hand in the sleeve bore and quickly turn it back and forth rotating the start point 1/4 turn at a time and al be dang if it didn't work and it now fits like a glove. I'm probably not the first to stumble on this fix this but thought Id share it. Took about 30 min to bring it down to were it should be and it didn't cost me a thing already had the compound. You gotta love it when a plan comes together for a change. Well one more to go saving that for later when it cools off.
