Is a Starter from a Case 970 compatible with a Case 830 diesel..??

Cannot say for sure but I just looked in a catalog and they call for different starter for the 2 of them so good chance it will not swap

Find a DENZO starter. They spin the motor over much faster. The 70 series will bolt up, but I believe needs a different bendix drive. due to # of teeth.

Here is my 930 with a 2670 engine using the 2670 starter, with the 930 flywheel and ring gear, works great so I would say yes it will

They work but will break the gear over time. 970 has 10 teeth gear 830 has 12 teeth. 730/830/930 same. 1030 bigger but same gear. 870/970/1070 same. This is for diesels
