Question on installing rear crank repair sleeve

While the 970 is split, I am installing a new rear main with the wear sleeve. Local dealer does not have tool to install. I thought I could heat it and get it on but am about a 1/4" shy. Next step is contact machinist to make something up, any better ideas out there.
Kudos to Thad for the parts. Thanks Tom

I'm not sure of the terminology, but there are "Wear" sleeves, speedie sleeves & "Repair" sleeves. Regardless, the heavy sleeve you have will require machining, but the thin speedie sleeve will simply press tightly on. We stock both.

John: Installing the repair sleeve kit. The CAS1087 tool at 660.00 is a little to rich for my blood. Thanks Tom
