I have an 1170 with a loader. I am trying to positively ID the loader and determine what it can really lift. I have 2600# to offload once. Just a piece of equipment.

I am not sure of the specs of a model 70 but I know my loader reaches WAY up there. I load round bales on semis 2 high no problem. The top of the vertical arms at the back of the loader are approx equal to the height of the steering wheel.

I know it is a Case loader. I just want to confirm which it is.

A picture would cinch it, but definitely sounds like the 75. Great Loader. With the pins in the appropriate holes, she will reach 21' no problem. And, 2600# is also no problem, assuming no problems w/ the tractor hyd's. The 75 was built by Great Bend, but CASE actually spec'd a heavier Loader than what Great Bend was selling. Heavier Gussetts & heavier cyl's.

Thanks guys. I will try to snag a pic. A little busy building a road right now.

The loader seems very strong but, as maybe with all loaders of this type, it seems a little floppy up there. I am sort of use to more sturdy lifts like a backhoe or front loader.

Mine did have some cracks on the bottom side that I fixed a while back from its previous life. Apparently those loaders don't like pushing down. Or maybe someone just abused it.
