My 970 seems to have a noisey hydraulic pump compared to my neighbors 870. Also the hydraulic oil is foamy. Hydraulics seem to work ok. Will be starting to chop corn in a couple of weeks. Don't want to ruin pto clutches from low hydraulic pressure. Any thoughts would be welcome. Thanks in advance.

I would be checking the quad ring on the hyd pump where it slides in the rear housing, and if that is OK, I would be suspecting a clogged suction screen in the bottom of the tranny, which means pulling the PTO housing from rear of tractor.

another point when things are noisy, make sure the two hyd lines coming from the pump are not touching,, this will make a whole lot of racket and will wear holes in your steel lines
