830 diesel motor into a 400 ? pretty cut and dry other than maybe some linkage issues ?

Off the top of my head yes very easy, maybe a bigger lower rad hose, but not much bigger, everything else easy. I just put a 2670 engine in my 930 and that wasn't to bad, flywheel and everything fits, just some cutting and fabrication to some minor things, post some pics when you get started.

You will either have to use the 400 ex. manifold or cut a hole in the hood for the exhaust if you use the 830 manifold, I don't know off hand how much difference their is on port size, I would use the 830 air cleaner

I bolted a 284 from a 1000 combine in a 400 like said I had to use the manifold, you also have to make a extension plate to move the 830 oil filter out so it clears the steering rod,, DO NOT use the 400 oil filter on the 830 block
