I have a new temp guage installed on my 1845 case skidloader. it has three terminals. one for sender wire, one for hot wire and one for ground wire. with the sender wire and hot wire hooked up and you turn the key on it moves up to the bottom line like it should but when I touch the ground wire it pegs out. the guage is installed in the panel so is it already grouded or am I missing something. All help appreciated. Thanks Norm

Make sure you have the proper wires on the proper terminals. Disconnect the sender and see what happens. If the gauge pegs with the sender unhooked I would suspect a bad gauge. If it is OK with the sender unhooked but pegs when you hook up the sender you have your problem.

My gage is working now. Apparently the guage itself is grounded so I don't need the grounding wire. Some gages has a rubber seal so you would need the ground wire. thanks norm
