Oil in radiator

Long time reader first time post . I have a 1953 case vac-14 has signs of oil in the radiator . Possible causes ? Just saw an ad for same tractor on this site with same symptoms and it has me curious .

Could well be normal and caused by the lube some companies put in the antifreeze to lube the water pump or could be a head gasket going bad and your getting a little bit of exhaust into the radiator.

Thanks . Been that way a long time but doesn't have any effect on temp or how it runs .

rich , it don't bother me one bit to add a quart of oil to the radiator ,,. especially on the old letter series when they are being resurrected from the dead row ..seems like the oil has a tendency to liven up gaskets and rusty water jakets ...
