Case VAC hood latch

I'm working on a 1955 Case VAC and the hood latch is broken. I've got the outer "lever" but the inner piece where it connects with the "pin" from the grill is broken. Are replacements available? Or does anyone have suggestions for making the replacement parts?

I have one or 2 spare hoods off of a couple 1946 VAC tractor and I would be willing to sell those part. E-mail is open

55 vac is different than early latches early had a heavy lever hinges to front.late had a button you pushed it to open

Thanks 'old" but "rwb" is right. The '46 hood latch is quite a bit different than the '55, at least on the outside. I'm assuming the inner latch part itself is also very different. If you've got any later hoods, though, let me know.
