VAC hyd pump the pulley type hyd fluid

So what fluid do you use in the VAC pulley hyd pump and where o you add fluid to it?? The Stockton 3 point hitch on the VAC I got not long ago acts funny so figure it need fluid

We always used automatic transmission fluid. I think the owner's manual called for motor oil. There should be a pipe plug with a dipstick attached to it up on top of the belt pulley housing. They sometimes get air into the system. There should be a brass bleed wing nut on the left side. Loosen the nut and push the control lever to up position and see if oil squirts out as it tries to raise.

Found where the dip stick should have been today but it was missing. But I have another one in the house so I took the plug/dip stick form it an put it in the VAC I have and then filled the unit up
